Welcome to Madeenan ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using our website, APIs, playground, or services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Madeenan provides a source-backed Islamic AI API and search engine for developers. The Service retrieves Islamic sources (Qur'an, Hadith, Tafsir, and duas), grounds artificial intelligence model queries using Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and provides citations.
3. Model Costs and Third-Party Providers
Important Pricing & Cost Structure:
Madeenan charges a monthly subscription fee for retrieval, grounding, citation generation, limited hosted chat, playground, and API key infrastructure.
For production generation outside Madeenan's limited hosted chat, you are responsible for your own third-party model provider usage and costs. Madeenan does not mark up, resell, or guarantee the pricing of third-party model providers.
4. Islamic & AI Disclaimers
Islamic Source Grounding & Disclaimer: Madeenan is a search and retrieval engine that grounds answers in retrieved source blocks (Qur'an, Hadith, Tafsir, and duas). It is an educational tool designed for developers and researchers. It is not a fatwa service and does not issue religious rulings. Always consult qualified Islamic scholars (Ulama) for individual religious guidance.
AI Grounding Disclaimer: While Madeenan restricts language model responses using context boundary retrieval (RAG) to keep answers tied to referenced source texts, AI models can occasionally misinterpret text or exhibit errors. We do not claim or guarantee hallucination-free responses. Please verify all information against the cited texts provided with each answer.
5. Account Setup & Delivery
Upon successful payment processed by Dodo Payments (our Merchant of Record), access to the service is provisioned immediately. A unique setup link will be displayed on screen and sent to your registered checkout email to generate your one-time API key. It is your responsibility to secure and back up this API key.
6. Prohibited Activities
You agree not to misuse the Service. Misuse includes, but is not limited to: scraping resources, intentionally overloading our API endpoints, utilizing the service for illegal or hateful purposes, attempting to bypass rate limits, or failing to display appropriate attribution when utilizing the API in customer-facing products.
7. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and your use of the Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.
8. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the last updated date of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
